摘要：

In the title compound, [CdI2(C12H12N2)(C3H7NO)], the Cd-II cation is five-coordinated in a distorted trigonal- bipyramidal configuration by two N atoms from a 4,4 '-dimethyl-2,2 '-bipyridine ligand, one O atom from a dimethylformamide ligand and two I- anions. pi-pi stacking between pyridine rings of adjacent molecules [centroid-centroid distance = 3.666 (3) and 3.709 (4) angstrom] stabilizes the three-dimensional structure
