摘要
The number of gas turbines as energy generating plants for combined heat and power systems in industry and public utilities has increased considerably in recent years. In view of the already existing installations the choice of the right model and its useful integration have priority so that in the individual case there is often not a lot of choice left between several offered engine models. There are, however, - among other things - two technically very different possibilities available in the range from 30 to 40 MW electrical output, namely, on the one hand, on the basis of a powerful industrial gas turbine (Frame 6 by General Electric) and, on the other hand, a similarly efficient, derived aircraft engine (LM 5000, also by General Electric). Both engines are offered worldwide each by several licensees. On the occasion of a defined project the possibility was provided to work out in detail conceptionally for a certain task the two solution possibilities and to compare their characteristics.
