ECHOCARDIOGRAPHIC CHARACTERISTICS OF SOME TYPES OF INTRACARDIAC HEMODYNAMICS IN PATIENTS WITH PAROXSMAL ATRIAL-FIBRILLATION

摘要：
Intracardiac hemodynamics was studied by echocardiography In 104 patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. Fifteen (14%) patients had ''normodynamic'' type of intracardiac hemodynamics characterized by normal ventricular dimensions and volumes, normal indices of contractile and pump functions of left ventricular myocardium and compensatory myocardiac hyperkinesis. Signs of early damage of left ventricular myocardium evidenced by moderate posterior wall and septal myocardial hypertrophy were observed In patients with this type of hemodynamics. Nineteen (18%) patients had ''compensated'' type of intracardiac hemodynamics characterized by Increased ventricular dimensions and volumes with relatively unimpaired left ventricular contractile and pump functions.
