摘要
Background. Self-adhesive cements exhibit low bond strength to dentin, lower than self-etching cements and traditional composite cements. Self-etching bonding systems are employed to enhance the quality of bonding ability of self-adhesive cements. The discrepancies in properties and application method of one-and two-step self-etching bonding systems may influence the quality of obtained bond interface. Objectives. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the influence of different type 3 and 4 self-etching bonding systems on the self-adhesive cement-dentin bond strength. Material and Methods. Self-adhesive cements and corresponding type 3 and 4 self-etching bonding systems (Breeze - NanoBond SE i Bond 1 SF/Pentron; Clearfil SA Cement - Clearfil SE Bond i Clearfil S3 Bond/Kuraray; RelyX U100 - Adper Scotchbond SE i Adper Easy One/3M-ESPE) were used in the study. Shear bond strength of self-adhesive cements bonded directly to human molar dentin samples or by means of above mentioned bonding systems was evaluated. The dentin preparation included grinding with sand papers (500 C), water rinsing, air-drying. Bonding systems/cements were light cured simultaneously with LED lamp. The cement-dentin bond strength was examined in Zwick-Roell Z005 device with cross-bar speed of 2 mm/min after 24-hour water storage of samples. Results. Low bond strength of self-adhesive cement-dentin interface was obtained and significant rise in strength after using self-etching bonding systems was observed. However, the application of 2-step bonding systems resulted in higher bond strength values in comparison to 1-step bonding systems. Conclusions. The self-etching bonding systems, though in various degree, enhance the bond strength of self-adhesive cement-dentin interface
