摘要
Differential cross sections for elastic and inelastic alpha-scattering on Pd-104, Pd-106, Pd-108 and Pd-110 have been measured at E(alpha) = 30.5 MeV. The analysis of the elastic scattering has been performed with Woods-Saxon potentials, leading to a set of mean optical-model parameters. Coupled channels calculations including the most prominent low-lying excited states confirm collective vibrational excitations. The extracted quadrupole and octupole transition matrix elements are compared to existing electromagnetic data.
