摘要
The axial velocity and temperature distributions in an underexpanded argon jet produced by a sonic nozzle have been investigated by using the laser induced fluorescence technique. To apply the LIF method to rarefied gas flows, seed material used in this experiments is iodine. Doppler shift of the absorption line is exploited to extract velocity distribution on the flow axis. On the other hand, parallel temperature along with flow axis is determined by the Doppler broadening of the absorption line.
