摘要
When we try to compare the management development in Central and Eastern European countries (the part of former Eastern block of communist oriented countries) and industrial countries we can still see great differences among this countries. These differences are consequences of different historical conditions for development of theory of management. In the period between 1950-1989 we lived in the stage of ''long-range planning'' that was developed in industrial countries in 1950-1965. Long-range planning was characterized by relatively stabile environment in closed economy, with wide market and weak competition. After our revolution in 1989 we started a new period. There are changed conditions and top managers must view their firms as an ''open system'' and to scanne their environment. In addition, at present time general conditions are characterized by extremly turbulent environment. Managers cannot only prepare the strategy, but they must also know how to implement it, and must have a good strategic control system, with a feedback and feed-forward in the turbulent environment. For depeloping our management theory we can use present knowledge and experiences of strategic management theory but we must transform it to our conditions. We must respect the influence of ''paradigma'' in our firms.
