摘要
The elastic scattering cross sections of 100 eV - 10 keV electrons in solids (Z = 3-48) are calculated using the partial wave expansion technique and the 'muffin-tin' bound-atom potential. The results show considerably less forward scattering in comparison with the free-atom scattering at all energies and elements. In addition, the substantial variation of the cross sections with atomic number, which is related to the nearest-neighbor distance, is calculated.
