摘要：

Plunging ranulas are a mucous extravasation and usually originate from the sublingual gland. They dissect between the facial planes and muscle of the base of the tongue to the submandibular triangle. We report here a rare case of plunging ranula localized in the parapharyngeal space. The relevant anatomy is reviewed and discussed. © 1990 S. Karger AG, Basel.
