ELECTROLUMINESCENCE IN VACUUM EVAPORATED CADMIUM SULFIDE

摘要
This letter reports ac electroluminescence in vacuum evaporated CdS films of 4000 A thickness, having gold electrodes. A postevaporation treatment is used to process the CdS films, whereby electroluminescence is obtained. Copper and sodium chloride are used as activators. High ac voltages, near 1 kV across a large gap are necessary to produce a small amount of luminescence. Copyright © 1969 by The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc.
