THEORETICAL-ANALYSIS OF ULTRASONIC WAVE ATTENUATION AND ELASTIC-MODULI OF TELLURITE GLASSES

摘要
The shape of the loss peaks of ultrasonic attenuation in the range 120-300 K for binary molybdenum tellurite glasses (i.e., the shape of the relaxation spectra), the mean activation energy, and the elastic moduli at room temperature are strongly composition sensitive. The composition dependence of the position and overall shape of the loss peaks and the mean activation energies were analysed and correlated with the bulk modulus and the mean cation-anion stretching force constant. Also, the mean activation energy VBAR has been found to be strongly dependent upon the value of the oxygen density.
