LIGHT-DIFFRACTION IN THE BLUE PHASES OF LIQUID-CRYSTALS IN ELECTRIC-FIELD

摘要
In the 3D-ordered BPI and BPII phases the diffraction is measured in the various time moments of the alternating sine and pulsed electric field. The variations are found for the intensity of the diffraction bands, which are characterized by the relaxation times of four orders less than the times for the relaxation to the equilibrium values of the cell parameters. The transformation of the diffraction spectrum indicates an essential reconstruction of molecular ordering.
