摘要
A multi-attribute model to assess the attractiveness ranking of a country was developed, taking into account such phenomena as natural beauty and climate; culture and social characteristics; sport, recreation and education facilities; shopping and commercial facilities; infrastructure of the country; cost of living; attitudes towards tourists; and accessibility of the country. Thirty-two countries were selected for the study. Results indicated that the United States, Thailand, Switzerland. Australia, the United Kingdom, and Austria were consistently ranked within the top ten by all respondents. Countries such as China, India. Egypt, Hong Kong, Yugoslavia and The Philippines were found to have low ranking in terms of tourist attractiveness, with the remaining countries generally scoring in the middle range of attractiveness. © 1990.
