摘要
Nicotinic acid inhibits lipolysis in adipose tissue and leads to a reduced supply of FFA to the organs. Compensatorily the breakdown of carbohydrates is accelerated in liver and skeletal muscle. In the brain, however, which does not depend on the oxidation of FFA glycolysis is not affected by the administration of nicotinic acid. © 1969.
