摘要
Ten cases have been presented in which one or more thalamic lesions were surgically induced in order to alleviate tremor and rigidity of Parkinsonism. In each case it was possible to correlate the position of the brain cannula during thalamic surgery, as determined roentgenographically during the operative procedure, with the subsequent clinical course of the patient. Furthermore, a correlation of these two factors with the exact anatomic location of the thalamic lesion, determined by post mortem examination, was carried out. The relevance of these findings to a relatively simple set of ventriculographic landmarks for localization of the ventrolateral nucleus of the thalamus has been discussed. © 1969.
