ON GENERATION, CORRELATION AND SPECTRUM MEASUREMENT OF BARKER CODES

摘要
Barker codes are finite length binary signals with optimum correlation properties. They have many up-to-date applications in the areas of pulse compression radars, data synchronization, system identification and digital communications. Very little has been published, in the open literature, on the generation and measurement of the characteristics of these codes. In this paper, a Barker code generator built up with simple logic circuits is described and measurements of the autocorrelation functions and power spectra of Barker codes are presented. In addition, a complete analytical description of the autocorrelation functions and power spectra of all known Barker codes are given.
