摘要
One system in which hard segment crystallization is important is the thermoplastic elastomer based on hard segments of poly(tetramethyllene terephthalate) and soft segments of poly(tetramethylene oxide). These copolyether-esters are very sensitive to thermal history and exhibit multiple endothermic behavior when heated in a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). The multiple endothermic behavior of a typical copolyether-ester is described here and sources for the endotherms is considered. The ultimate objective of this investigation of crystallization is to reveal in more detail the microstructure of this system and its implications for physical properties.
