Skin involvement in rheumatic diseases

Whenever looking at a patient with joint complaints, we should also spend a little bit of interest to the person's skin, as many rheumatic diseases go along with sometimes quite typical lesions. Keeping that in mind can make it easier to get to the right diagnosis and we do not only save time but in some cases we can prevent complications by adjusting our therapy early. In the following article some rather typical dermatologic lesions that can be found in rheumatology will be discussed.
