COLLECTIVE 3-EXCITATIONS AND 2-EXCITATIONS WITH SKYRME FORCES

摘要
The method of moments with Skyrme forces is used to calculate the excitation energies and probabilities of 3- and 2- states. The computational results for isoscalar and isovector giant octupole resonances as well as the magnetic quadrupole resonance are in good agreement with experiment. The theory describes quite well the centroids of the low-lying 3- isoscalar states. The existence of a "low-lying" 3- isovector excitation is predicted.
