摘要
This article discusses the incorporation of a methodological pluralism in social research agenda focused on the geographic field of study as a way to overcome theoretical and methodological problems of this practice. Questions about the modern science consolidation process and the creation of paradigms and dichotomies about the research method of nature are addressed that, over time, have been transformed into scientific dogmas. As alternatives to the hermeticism of positivist reason for the research, we propose the rescue of bringing together theory, epistemology and method, recognizing its various social dimensions. Therefore, we present possibilities and alternatives to the combination of quantitative and qualitative methods to various geographical research.
