摘要
Regulation of transcription involves the assembly of multiprotein complexes at enhancers and promoters. interactions between adjacent and non-adjacent DNA-binding proteins can augment the specificity and stability of multicomponent nucleoprotein complexes. Recently, several proteins have been identified that can function as 'architectural' elements in the assembly of higher-order nucleoprotein structures reminiscent of those involved in site-specific recombination in prokaryotes.
