摘要:
This dialogue occurred in 2002 and, although the intention was to publish it since the beginning, it remained unpublished until now. Casar Bolano was presented to Richard Maxwell by Toby Miller on the occasion of Bolano's course in New York, hosted by the Centre for Latin American and Caribbean Studies, in the New York University, coordinated by George Yudice. At the time, Bolano had the opportunity to present the theoretical proposal developed in his second book, as a result of his thesis written in 1993 and published in Brazil in 2000. The same was published in 2013, in Spanish, by Gedisa and in 2015 in English by Pallgrave-the last two editions with an extra chapter on internet and convergence. In 2014, an academic debate was established between Bolano and Christian Fuchs, in the pages of Television and New Media (which had a sequence in Triple C) and made clear the interest in resuming the previous dialog, at the suggestion of Vicki Mayer, who the authors are grateful for the support and friendship.
