摘要
Educational self-efficacy beliefs predict career success and psychophysical well-being of teachers, so it is very important to study their development, evaluate and promote them within this collective. work. With respect to evaluation, there are some scales available in Spanish. this is the case of Bandura's Teacher Self-Efficacy Scale. it consists of 30 statements that evaluate different domains of activity in the practice of teaching. the interesting thing about this approach is that it does not only measure the effectiveness of the teacher to control the aspects that make the inner reality of the educational establishment but it also controls those more external aspects that affect the school environment as well. despite the importance of this scale, and the appropriateness of its multidimensionality, there is insufficient evidence regarding its psychometric performance. Because of this, the purpose of this study was to analyze the psychometric properties of Bandura's Teacher Self-Efficacy Scale in the case of argentine primary education teachers. We worked with a sample of 450 teachers of both sexes who were teaching at public and private institutions in the provinces of Entre Rios and Buenos Aires, Argentina. the results of psychometric analyzes concerning the factor analysis and internal consistency of the questionnaire, prove their use in the population of argentine educators, providing information on the appropriate reliability and validity evidence.
