摘要：
Despite of the availability of many sophisticated devices, the conventional switches and sensors used in applications such as level sensing still make up the majority of market, increasing at a rate of more than 7% per annum. Biosensors, smart sensors and devices that integrate artificial intelligence methods may help open new markets, but it must be kept in mind that they initiate from small existing bases.
