摘要
The Mössbauer effect in 129I was used to investigate the high valence states of iodine in IF5 and IF7. The quadrupole couplings were found to be +1073±2 Mc/sec and -148±4 Mc/sec, respectively. From these values the character of the I-F bond in these compounds was deduced.
