摘要
First, this paper analyzes the gender gaps in the Spanish public universities as a reflection of social inequality, with data on the university community. Second, within the changes in the Spanish laws since the first decade of the 21st century, we propose the evaluation of a series of measures associated with gender equality policies. Gender equality plans and gender equality units, or the formation of governing teams following a balanced presence criterion don't have a high cost for universities and public administrations when there is intellectual capital as well. The result of this analysis will point the existence (or not) of institutional will to materialize the compromise to reach equality between women and men.
