State, guilds and hotels. Mar del Plata and Peronism

Rised as the summer redoubt of the leader classes from Buenos Aires, Mar del Plata began to open itself to another social groups different from the traditional ones, in a process that increased in the middle of the past century when the contemporary masses' resort was sketched. The study of the hotel business'trajectory in the tourist city of Mar del Plata that we pretend to expose in this article, will allow to identify certain problematic of bigger range concerning to the conformation of a masses' resort and the access by vast social groups to the enjoyment of free time. In this work we will try to show, in the context of "social tourism's" diffusion, the relations between this social - commercial activity and others central ones of the resort, as those related with the construction and, later, the unionist hotel business phenomenon.
