摘要
This paper have to porpose develop a discussion about the daily problems experienced by homosexual teachers - whether men or women - into the school. Our initial assumption assumes that these teachers had suffering and still have suffering some kind of prejudice because of their sexual orientation. During the discussion, we adopt a qualitative approach and we base our analysis on the basis of discourse, in other word, we try to learn the experiences of teachers through their life narratives. Thus, were interviewed two gay teachers and one lesbian teacher, all they graduates who work or worked in the Junior High School and/or College. Our methodological strategy occurs in two situations: first, through a previous questionnaire consists of ten questions of personal identification in order to draw a profile of respondents. In a second stage, we use of a semi-structured questionnaire, with questions that focused more specifically the perception of teachers about homophobia in school. The end result of this work consists of reports where we could identify the school as an environment that reflects the sexism that pervades all the society, often reproducing the social structures, and thus reinforcing the prejudices and privileges of one sex over the other. Thus, we find that heterosexism is so imbued in the culture that becomes invisible in many of his most subtle attitudes, for example, in the case of jokes. The school environment replays the prejudices of society and, in an attempt to avoid socializing of heterosexuals students, with homosexual people it makes of homosexuality the biggest target of the discrimination. We conclude, therefore, that gender inequalities between the sexes and the marginalization of homosexual persons make these people become victims of an unfinished society, characterized by repression, oppression and misinformation. Finally, we must emphasize that this society is in constant claim of prejudice by means of a social-cultural discriminatory behavior. We believe so, that the alternative to eliminate the homophobia would be questioning, in other words, stimulate thinking all the time in which the asymmetry between the different genders and sexual orientations (heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual and over and over) can be expressed in daily life. Having said that, we understand the Sex Education as an opportunity to assume a position of equality and respect between human beings, with a view that in the school environment it takes a stance as a foundation for centering the discussions about the differences, changes of information, dialogues, debates and discussions.
