DISPERSION STUDY OF THE AG(111) SURFACE-PLASMON (SP) BY MEANS OF HIGH-RESOLUTION ELECTRON-ENERGY LOSS SPECTROSCOPY (HREELS)

摘要
HREELS is used for the first time to study the spatial dispersion of the surface plasmon (SP) on Ag(111). The SP frequency is given by the energetic loss peak position. The wavevector-space investigation (q// parallel ) is obtained by changing the kinematical conditions. The interpretation of our experimental results is given by means of the dielectric theory.
