#REFUGEES. DISCOURSES OF OTHERNESS BY SUPPORTIVE PEOPLE ON FACEBOOK

Objective. To identify, describe and analyze the discourses from which the Spanish supportive population, user of the social network Facebook, build the refugee subject. Methodology. Qualitative order methodology in which the analysis of content was used and open coding theory used as a methodological strategy. Results. There are stories that conceal speeches of otherness about: xenophobia, empathy and difference, from which host societies are building the refugee subject. Conclusions. Discourses dealing with a construction of the difference from which the refugees are othered from the presumption of inequality and exclusion situations resulting from the intersectionality of social and ethnic-cultural aspects, are evident, which points to the establishment of an abstract and confused vision of what it means to be a refugee in the national context.
