FERROUS PM COMPONENTS - WHERE FROM HERE

In an overview of the field of PM, primarily for the manufacture of ferrous parts, the reasons for the use of PM are highlighted, with particular emphasis on the factors which lead to its superior cost effectiveness in the manufacture of close tolerance parts. After a brief review of the historical growth of PM, development trends aimed at overcoming some of the present limitations of the process are considered.
