NEW CONSTRAINTS AND IMPROVEMENTS ON OSCILLATING PHYSICS

摘要
Oscillating physics models have been developed to explain the apparent periodicity in recent pencil-beam galaxy redshift surveys. A temporally oscillating physical constant periodically modulates the observed redshift or luminosity of distant sources. We show how oscillating physics models can be improved to fit the BEKS survey, including variations in the observed period and phase with direction. We also discuss new, severe constraints on versions with an oscillating gravitational constant, constraints which generalize to any field theory with light fields nonminimally coupled to gravity.
