摘要：

Infrared and Raman spectra are reported for 5,5-diethyl barbituric acid (barbital or barbitone), and for its deuterated counterpart, in argon and nitrogen matrices at different concentrations. Infrared, far infrared and Raman spectra of the solid phase were also obtained. The data enabled a vibrational assignment to be made for both the monomeric form and the solid. The modes which are characteristic of barbiturates are discussed. © 1979.
