摘要
The Monte Carlo Technique has been applied to the calculation of tissue air ratios for a range of irradiation conditions relevant to diagnostic radiology. In order to make a direct comparison with the previously published data, measurements have been carried out at similar X-ray beam qualities and field sizes. An excellent agreement has been reached between our Monte Carlo calculations and experimental results as well as with the reported values. Since the Monte Carlo Technique eliminates the instrumental problems, it can be used for the derivation of TAR values relevant to diagnostic radiology with an uncertainity of less than 10%.
