摘要
This article is about the question of women in the philosophy of Montesquieu, specially, in two of his works: "Persian Letters" and "The Spirit of Laws". In the novel "Persian Letters", some characters of Montesquieu report the way women live in the harem of Usbek as in other places of the world, as in Italy and France. Moreover, in this novel, there is a comparison between the position of woman and that of man in society, and a questioning about the legitimacy of such positions. In the book " The Spirit of the Laws", Montesquieu deals with the behavior of women in the different types of regime.
