Determination of the asymptotic D- to S-state ratio for He-3 via ((d)over-right-arrow,He-3) reactions

摘要
Angular distributions of the tensor analyzing powers A(yy) and A(zz) have been measured for the ground-state transition in the Nb-93((d) over right arrow,He-3)Zr-92 reaction at E(d)=12 MeV, and of A(zz) for the ground-state transitions in Cu-63((d) over right arrow,He-3)Ni-62 at E(d)=8 MeV and Y-89((d) over right arrow,He-3)Sr-88 at E(d)=10.5 MeV. The data are compared with predictions of full finite-range distorted-wave Born approximation (DWBA) calculations from which the asymptotic D- to S-state ratio, eta for He-3 is extracted to be -0.0386+/-0.0045+/-0.0012. The difficulties with a choice of deuteron tensor optical potentials used in the DWBA calculations are discussed.
