摘要:
The first stage of oxidation is controlled by the diffusion of the Ni**2** plus ions through the NiO and the second by the diffusion of the Cr**3** plus ions through the Cr//2O//3. The length of the transition period is determined by the time necessary for the formation of a continuous layer of Cr//2O//3 at the alloy-scale boundary and depends upon the relationship of the flows of chromium and oxygen in the alloy. Since the diffusion permeability of Cr//2O//3 is much less than that of NiO, the heat resistance of the alloy is determined by whether the Cr//2O//3 layer is formed and how rapidly it forms.
