摘要
Determination of iron, cobalt and copper in borate glasses has been studied by flame atomic absorption spectrometry. The results show the serious depressing interference from matrix components in the borate glass solution. Such interference can be completely eliminated using alizarine red sulphonate. A mechanism is put forward to interpret the interference and way of its elimination via the formation of a stable metal-alizarinate complex providing the analyte element free from foreign ion interference.
