摘要
In 1990, there were an estimated over a million walker users among civilians, noninstitutionalized population in the US. Although there have been studies on the metabolic demands and safety of walkers, there was no scientific study about the epidemiology of walker-related accidents. Hence, in this paper, to examine the incidence, nature, and consequences of walker-related accidents, two databases of US Consumer Product Safety Commission (USCPSC) were evaluated and the results were presented.
