EXOTIC SPIN IN QUANTUM-MECHANICS COUPLED TO CHERN-SIMONS TERM

摘要
The quantum mechanics coupled to only the Chern-Simons term is quantized following the canonical and path-integral methods after constructing the generalized Hamiltonian formalism. By solving the Gauss law constraint, the gauge field is represented by using a multi-valued function and the charge density operator of the particle. Then we pass to a multi-valued wave function by a phase transformation absorbing the gauge field. The transformed wave function induces a novel phase factor under a rotation in two-dimensional space and describes an exotic spin state. © 1990.
