摘要
The behavior of homogeneously aligned nematic liquid crystal layers in inhomogeneous electric fields was theoretically and experimentally investigated. The variation of the phase retardation of monochromatic light along nematic crystal layer at the edges of a cell electrode was obtained. Anistropic character of the resolution of liquid crystal devices is shown.
