QUARK MASS RATIOS FROM CHIRAL SYMMETRY AT INFINITE MOMENTUM

Exploiting the general kind of information from the deep inelastic experiments, we study the pseudoscalar mesons in the frame-work of the broken chiral SU 4×SU 4 symmetry at infinite momentum. Using the masses of the π, K, D and F mesons, as input, we obtain an estimate of the bare-quark mass ratios m s/m a=1.242 and m c/m a=3.036. © 1979 Società Italiana di Fisica.
