摘要
This paper examines a group of Latin American texts and films from the last two decades which show growing social, political and economic inequality in the continent, together with cultural practices and experiences, from an urban perspective. With the configuration of space in the Latin American city as the central theme, the paper explores the way in which these narratives reformulate classic notions of urban design with the scope of presenting, in their place, a distinct space, with specific codes that act as alternative forms of avoiding the influence of globalisation and neoliberal policies.
