AN APPLICATION OF THE ACT FREQUENCY APPROACH IN THE STUDY OF PERSON-JOB FIT

摘要
This study investigated if the act frequency approach (AFA), used in psychological research to identify behaviors associated with certain dispositions, might clarify the work behavior of librarians. The AFA identifies some typical work behaviors of librarians who fit into their jobs well. Librarians involved in selection processes, or in making work assignments, can assess the potential fit of librarians into work situations indirectly by investigating how frequently they display the behaviors associated with good fit.
