摘要
Tough and rubber-like hydrogels were prepared by blending concentrated aqueous solutions of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) and poly(sodium-L-glutamate) (PSLG) in an autoclave under a pressure of approximately 2 x 10(5) Pa at 120-degrees-C. The structure and interactions between PVA and PSLG in blends in the dry state were investigated. It is suggested that the blends consist of rigid segments of PVA chains which interact with PSLG side chains, small PVA crystallites which act as crosslink points and amorphous chain sequences of PVA and PSLG.
