摘要：
Encephalitis is a rare life-threatening complication of mediterranean spotted fever (MSF) in high risk patients. We report a case of encephalitis complicating MSF in spite of early antibiotic treatment. Following a first phase of respiratory distress, the patient progressively recovered without sequelea. This observation underlines the importance of close monitoring of high-risk patients presenting with MSF.
