摘要：
The horizontal type continuous casting machine with withdrawal from one side that is now in trial industrial use at the Karaganda Iron and Steel Combine is described. Its advantages over other types of machine and some of the results obtained are discussed. The machine is considered suitable for casting carbon low alloy steel into squares and rounds of 80-200 mm cross-section.
