摘要
The reaction of anhydrous metal(II) chlorides with N,N'-diphenylhydrazine in THF afforded the isolation of polymeric compounds of the type [M(N2H2Ph2)2Cl2]n where M = Cr(II)(1), Mn(II)(2), Fe(II)(3), Co(II)(4), Ni(II)(5), Cu(II) (6), Zn(II)(7), Cd(II)(8), Hg(II)(9). However, the reaction with [M(PPh3)2Cl2] resulted in the formation of N,N'-diphenylhydrazine bridged dimeric complexes of the type [M(PPh3)2 N2H2Ph2)Cl2]2 where M = Co(II)(4a), Ni(II)(5a), Cu(II)(6a), Zn(II)(7a), Cd(II)(8a), Hg(II)(9a). The mode of bonding of N,N'-diphenylhydrazine in these compounds has been confirmed on the basis of band position of N-N stretching mode. The low electrical conductivity of the complexes derived from [M(Pph3)2Cl2] confirm their covalent nature.
