摘要：

This paper presents a new unidimensional search scheme for optimization based on the well known concept of feedback. Conceptually, this is a totally new approach and is found to yield good results when tested on nine typical unimodal functions in terms of equivalent function evaluations, in comparison with the existing methods, namely, quadratic fitting, cubic interpolation and Golden section methods.
