Judiciary speech on the Ecclesiastical Court of cordoba in the Modern Age

Numerous documents guarded in the General Archive of the Bishopric of Cordoba in Provisorato section, under series: Divorce Papers, provide numerous elements of analysis from multiple perspectives of research: both socially (since they show aspects of family life and intimacy of Cordobese peopleinthe modern era) and, from a legal point of view, historically (both agents and recipients of the demands and the procedural phase are documented) and, of course, pragmadiscursively. With this contribution, the aim is to approach, from the field of historical pragmatics, to the changes in language use identified in the sentences of the Ecclesiastical Court and, therefore, togive an insight inthe state of language in Cordoba in the sixteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.
